What this self-hosted studio stores, how connected accounts are used, and how to delete them. Last updated August 14, 2026.
xClipping ("we", "us") operates the video clipping and publishing studio at xclipping.cloud (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.
We use the information above only to:
When you connect a TikTok account, we request only the scopes required to read basic profile information and to publish videos. End-user data obtained from TikTok APIs is used exclusively to provide the features you initiate, is not used for advertising or profiling, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is not used to develop or improve any other product. We retain TikTok connection data only for as long as the account remains connected.
When you connect a YouTube channel, xClipping requests Google OAuth scopes needed to upload videos and read basic channel information: youtube.upload and youtube.readonly. We use this access only to publish clips you schedule or approve and to show connected channel details in the app.
YouTube connection tokens are stored on your xClipping server, are not sold or shared with third parties, and are removed when you disconnect the channel from the Channels page. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account security settings.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only: (a) with the platforms you connect, as part of publishing content you chose to publish; (b) with service providers we use to operate the Service (such as hosting infrastructure), under confidentiality obligations; or (c) when required by law.
Account connection data and service settings are stored in the Service's private database, and secrets are kept server-side. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You can disconnect a TikTok or YouTube account at any time from the Channels page, which removes the stored tokens and profile data for that connection from our systems. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your remaining data, contact us at support@xclipping.cloud and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We keep connection data while an account is connected, and job, clip, and publish history while you use the Service. When you disconnect an account or request deletion, the associated data is removed or anonymized, except where retention is required by law.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact support@xclipping.cloud.
